On this Valentine's Day some women are awaiting chocolates, flowers, jewelry.. the treasured three words "I love you".. Nice those things are indeed, however this past week I heard words more beautiful, and received gifts that will stay with me forever.
First let me give you a little background. Three years ago as I started real estate we realized that it always seemed to work out perfectly schedule wise.. Matt was busy with work when real estate was slow and vice versa.. This past week I have been blessed to have alot going on with clients and needed to be away from the home quite a bit... o.k. like all week. Also, with only 8 weeks left until the Salt Lake Marathon, my training has increased significantly... and I've needed to spend alot of time running.. once again, away from the family.. I always worry as all mom's do how things are going to be in my absence. Each day upon returning home, I would find dishes done, laundry spinning, beds made, homework completed, diapers changed, meals made... Matt was on "superdad" mode the whole week and the kids were loving being able to spend quality time with dad.. He took them on "field trips" to visit the turkeys in Wallsburg, to see the aquarium at Cabella's, hot chocolate at the 7-11... The works.. It was amazing, he's always been supportive and helpful, but this was extraordinary. Definitely the most memorable moment was upon returning home late one evening, I walked in the door to the smells of delicious stew simmering in the crock pot, the children playing quietly and I rushed onto the tile floor in the kitchen to give Matt a hug as he loudly exclaimed " Take your shoes off! I just mopped!! " Now that's a man...
Happy Valentine's Babe. Love you, JT

Triumph!!

So Ammon has dreamed, wiggled, wished, longed for the moment
when he would lose his first tooth.. He was the only kid in his whole
class at school who hadn't got to put his name up on the tooth chart.
And honor held exclusively for members of the "lost tooth club".
So it was a glorious sight to see this toothless grin last week as I picked him up for carpool. I love how he did it too.. Didn't say a word, and as we're driving down the road he gives me this big grin.. Luckily I had the camera in the car to record history.. Congrats Ammon!
